Nick Katsalos has a foolproof plan to save his parents' floundering wedding venue The last thing he expects is for Erin O'Malley the captivating daughter of his parents' biggest rival to waltz in and charm the client who could finally get the family business back on track Nick would Barbara DeLeo takes us back to Westchester for The Wedding Wager bringing us an enemies to lovers romance with a real Romeo and Juliet feel and this time it's Nick the eldest of the Katsalos siblings turn to find love The Katsalos' and the O'Malley's are the Montague and the Capulet's of the wedding world And when they're vying for the same high profile wedding the bets are on and Erin and Nick go head to head bringing humour fight and feelings that neither of them anticipated Planning weddings isn't Nick's forte; a mathematician he's logical and analytic and a little out of his depth in trying to rescue his parents' ailing business which gives him a vulnerable side but he's honest and considerate as is Erin in why she's determined to prove herself to her father Their rivalry is full on but the fight between them isn't overplayed has a tenderness about it and I appreciated how their warring fathers didn't play a big part to the story They were lovely together and you simply can't take sides One of us is going to win this competition and one of us isn’t And then we’ll hate each other My only issue with this story was how uickly it was paced heading toward the end; it felt a little rushed in the final chapters and Nick and Erin deserved that little bit rather than a jump in time where we didn't see any reactions to the final competition result That aside The Wedding Wager is a enjoyable addition to the Weddings of Westchester series and I'm looking forward to seeing what youngest brother Ari's story brings Copy received courtesy of Entangled Publishing via NetGalley for an honest and unbiased opinion

Barbara DeLeo Ñ The Wedding Wager book

The Wedding Wager The biggest wedding of the decade to a man as cold as Nick Especially since securing it means she could finally prove to her father she's just as capable of handling the family business as him But as the competition heats up Erin and Nick must decide what's important winning or love I really enjoyed this It was a bit on the angsty side which is fine for me because of the animosity between the O'Malley family and the Katsalos family and the bet that Erin O'Malley and Nick Katsalos made and all that was riding on the winning of it Nick was cocky and put his emotions to the side to focus on all things literal Erin was a romantic at heart and was driven by her need to succeed to please her hard nosed father But when these two start helping the other open up it was sweet and romantic and I wanted to knock the mess out of Nick towards the end Thankfully he learned a good lesson and opened up Thanks to Entangled Publishers for a copy of this in exchange for an honest review
