EBOOK â EPUB The Important Thing About Margaret Wise Brown ä 9780062393449 FREE Ý MAC BARNETT Â A picture book biography of Margaret Wise Brown the author of Goodnight Moon Runaway Bunny and other children’s classicsWhat is important about Margaret Wise Brown In A picture book biography of Margaret Wise Brown the author of Goodnight Moon Runaway Bunny and other children’s classicsWhat is important about Margaret Wise Brown In 42 inspi I do enjoy Margaret Wise Brown’s MWB books and I didn’t know they were a little odd or controversial during the day as they seem so tame by today’s standards I didn’t know much about her really She was an odd duck She grew up raising rabbits and when they died she would take their pelt and wear it around her home She loved rabbits She died when she was 42 At the time there was a librarian at the NYC public library named Anne Carroll Moore who basically told the countries librarians what to read She approved books or put them on her do not read list Anne didn’t like Margaret and her books Luckily the old bat retired My favorite scene is a tea was being thrown at the NYC public library for special guests MWB was not invited but she went with her publisher and was not permitted entrance to the event so they set up a little tea party on the stairs of the library so that everyone had to walk around them to get into the function I like that kind of moxy because I don’t have it I don’t care for the way the book was told It’s probably trying to be the style of MWB but it isn’t straight forward But it is uniue and it kind of works It is different Mac is talking to us on each page Anyway the important this is that MWB wrote books and I couldn’t agree The nephew thought there were some funny things in this book He was intrigued by MWB wearing a rabbit pelt He kept asking why she would do that He does love animals He thought it was funny when we find out she used to love to swim naked in the cold water by her home He couldn’t get over that one He didn’t uite know what to make of this book He sort of enjoyed the story and sort of not He was into the story because he was trying to figure it out He gave this an unsure 3 stars
