The Wicked Marquis ↠ Ed to give Cupid a hand Her daring ruse involved betrothing herself to a man she had never met a man with a very wicked reputation When Esme finally does meet her intended the entrancingly mysterious Maruis of Lockynde her innocent game takes a startling turn as unexpected but undeniable attraction begins to bloo. 35 Better than most Traditional Regency novels I read so farIn the very first scene we are introduced with three sisters at the window eagerly awaiting their never seen cousinFrom the first glance of her the sisters are intrigued with her dark complexion and foreign look Esme the cousin and the protagonist is shown to be a sensible but cunning person And was to the end down to earth and practical minded than the majority of the other characters I don't know what that wanted to tell about English people compared to the foreigners even when her parents' elopement tale was romantic as from a novel Further she is resourceful and knows how to take care of her limited financial circumstances and doesn't shy about it Later on the story revolves on the forced arranged marriage problem of their brotherher cousin Kit They but mostly Esme bound forces and try to straighten the path for their hopeless in love brothercousin Kit who is to be married to another and to do that they had to involve many other people to achieve itThere was also a lot of talk about clothes fixing them and dressing as Esme is skilled in it and resourceful as she is hoped to find a job if not marriage I find to my surprise loving to read those paragraphs Puffy dresses neckcloth high coralI love itI mean isn't this art The novel was filled with many comic moments and scenes that are just precious The drawback of this book would be the predicted and unsatisfied ending The heroine ends up with the hero and you can see love blooming from allies to friends to than friends affections but the very end left me kind of disappointed It could have been warmly done review µ eBook or Kindle ePUB ´ Marnie Ellingson
