SUMMARY Ì eBook, ePUB or Kindle PDF ´ Frank Kusy

He foothills of the Himalayas in Nepal 'Kevin and I in India' is the unexpurgated often outrageous diary of their travels from the hill stations of the deep south to the Taj Mahal in the north from the Goan beaches of the west to the sacred Ganges and the Bodhi Tree in the east Full of anecdotes observations and travellers' tales the two Englishmen weave a crazy errati. I loved this book Written as a diary it recounts the various mishaps encountered by Kevin and Frank as they journey around India mostly on unreliable and positively hazardous public transport It's a fascinating look at India in all its beauty and variety and contrasting downright sualor Some of the descriptions took my breath away and some brought tears to my eyes For example at the Ganges the giant vultures ' busily engaged in dragging human remains out of the river' or the streets in Varanasi being caked with excrement I laughed aloud at the entertainment provided by the Indian films and I was almost overcome at the tale of Kevin and the six cheese omelettes I could say but don't want to ramble on Superb writing with some marvellous understatement I'm very glad there are other books
