In River Haven a mysterious visitor brings two lonely hearts together Joanna Kohler treasures the independence her Amish uilt shop provides She rarely leans on others yet finding an injured woman on her property makes her grateful for the store owner next door Noah Troyer I shivered with readerly delight right through this compelling second River Haven novel Perry knows how to spin out a suspense and there's a Gothic y feel to this one Eeep That paired with a complicated Amish romance has me free falling into a full swoon Love the depth this author brings to her characters and the communities she creates No worries if you haven't visited River Haven before Amish Protector reads wunderbaar gut as a standalone novel too But if you have you'll be happy to meet up with some familiar faces These are real to me people with everyday struggles They may be Amish but that doesn't mean everything in their lives is serene There are negatives to balance out the positives Complicated families enduring friendships wrapped up in a foundation of faith The stuff that keeps a reader glued to the pageAnd the mystery is divine Eerie and confusing and sometimes sinister From the hair raising scene where Joanne discovers the injured woman to the breath snatching reveal all ending and everything in between it's all sheer poetry to a romantic suspense lover like me

KINDLE Amish Protector

Amish Protector River Haven #2 Calm and unflappable Noah offers support He also points out the strong resemblance between Joanna and the unconscious strangerNoah may admire Joanna but the bishop’s daughter is out of reach Though he’s made a good life Noah still feels shadowed by the shame his father I love this author books and I try not to miss any Her Amish books are just the bombs and this book was no exception This book will have drawn you in from the beginning until the end Especially if you like mystery like I do This story is amazing and I enjoyed visiting the small Amish town where Joanna owns her own uilt shop I think it's amazing how they have the patience to sit there and sew those uilts like that The work that goes into them is just wow I don't like to sew but I admire those who do It's definitely a work of art I like Joanna from the beginning I feel like she could be the big sister I never had I think the one I felt sorry most for was Noah Sometimes I feel just like him It's just so unfair The actions of our parents should never reflect back on their children but in our case Noah and mine it does It's a horrible feeling For years I could never understand why my dad's people didn't like me until one day my aunt told me It made me angry and then I felt worse I asked the Lord to help me and He has but it's just something that you carry with you for the rest of your life Sometimes you have to face your past in order to able to move on and yes I know it can be a hard thing to do I felt myself encouraging Noah and Joanna as they worked together to solve their pasts so that they could move on I like books like these because they offer hope and light at the end of a long tunnel that things in our world will be ok once again I really enjoy Perry's books They have a way that will make your afternoon evening or whatever the case may be go by rather uickly that's for sure This was an awesome read and I highly recommend itMy thanks to Netgalley and Harleuin for a fantastic read I was NOT reuired to write a positive review All opinions are my own
