Mazzantini's writing is poetic But like a poem it impresses upon the reader vivid images flashes of concepts here and there While powerful in this way Morning Sea was not an enjoyable story to read I will remember it like a confusing dream interesting surreal scenes here and there but no clear intriguing story line to follow
