MOBI ò The Paladin ☆ C.J. Cherryh

Popular Kindle Epub The Paladin by CJ Cherryh There are many inte I wanted to like this book but I just couldn't All I'll say here is I don't exactly feel flattered by Cherryh's view of men in general The old paladin spends half the book considering forcing the heroine to have sex with himfor her own good of course Sheesh Talk about a really tired stereotype I suppose the constant idiocy of the male character in this novel is to show the female character's struggle to be taken as an eual but it just doesn't work Well it doesn't work unless you have a very warped view of males in general Interestingly the culture that this seems to be loosely based on Feudal Japan was a strange mix of attitudes but in many ways was much freer in it's attitude toward sex than the west Women of the Samurai Class were well respected and it wasn't unheard of for a woman to take up arms indeed sometimes it was expected Of course they were also expected like the men to commit seppuku in some cases also Cherryh has done better work than this book far better Like I said I wanted to like it I was hoping to like it but I don'tIf you do again I'm happy for you but it's not for me
