Horse farm the retirement of her show horse Now she faces the arrival of a new coach whose job is to get Talia's half sister Greer ualified for the finals at the National Horse Show Greer is brutal on trainers but Lockie Malone is different Handsome tal FYI I'm writing this review having also read books 2 4 which grabbed me WAY than the first book The series starts slow but introduces so many colorful dysfunctional and relatable characters and scenarios in later books This first book was a bit of a snooze but perfectly sets up the later books It's nice to see an author writing a series as a marathon not a sprintAlso the author knows her horse talk and everything described within is legit It's so refreshing after years of reading horse books where the trainer is apparently amazing but it's just a paragraph and we don't actually get to hear or visualize them training I can actually picture myself in the arena as Talia or Greer with Lockie coaching me Love itSo yay for a series about horses that is not I repeat NOT stupid or ridiculous This is not a drill If you were lukewarm on this first book I highly highly recommend at least trying out the second book
