Loving AprilS father to a life of poverty Tony is angry with everyone and desperately lonely April Dean the deaf girl needs friends too But their growing relationship arouses deep This is a tough book to judge and I suppose I'm giving it two stars not three because it seems dated now and whilst I agree he addresses really hard hitting and dark issues I'm not sure it packs a punch today It was a uick read uite enjoyable in places but could have been developed further to build on the tension rather than just the relationship between the two protagonist There is nothing wrong with the book and then feel a bit bad giving two stars but i don't think it's as relatable today
